Frequently asked questions

How can I contact you?

You can call 1-516-474-4874 and I will return your call within 1 business day. Alternatively, you can contact me by email and I will reply to your email or call, depending on which you prefer. Please note that email is not a secure communication medium and therefore, it is not advisable to send sensitive information via email.

Where are your offices?

My offices are located in Glen Cove and Great Neck, NY (both are in northern Nassau County). Glen Cove is nearby to the communities of Sea Cliff, Glen Head, Lattingtown and Locust Valley. Great Neck is nearby to the communities of Manhasset, Port Washington, Lake Success, University Gardens and Kings Point. (click here to see maps to either office)

What are your fees?

Standard session (50 minutes) $75.00
Extended session (75 minutes) $105.00

Note: No payment is due during the first session. If you are satisfied that we can work well together, you would bring payment for the first session with you for your second visit. If you choose not to return, there is no charge for the first visit.

Do you have a sliding fee scale?

No. I expressly made my fees affordable with the intent of making treatment accessible to as many people as possible. If these rates are unaffordable to you, there are many clinics on Long Island that provide therapy. Below are two examples:

Pederson-Krag Mental Health Clinics
1-631-920-8000

Family Service League
1-631-427-3700

Are your services covered by insurance?

My practice is not eligible for insurance reimbursement. While insurance reimbursement can lessen the cost of treatment, it does come with some drawbacks. It requires that personal information about your treatment be revealed to an insurance company. That information then becomes part of your permanent medical record (you can request a free copy of your medical records once a year by going to the Medical Information Bureau web site or by calling 866-692-6901). Insurance companies use your medical records when deciding whether to offer you insurance (life, health and disability) and at what cost.
